Senior Accountant / Bookkeeper

Schoemans is a chartered accounting firm based in Bellville, with a second office in Malmesbury. We have been serving businesses across the Western Cape for over 20 years, and our small business department is looking for an experienced accountant or bookkeeper to join the team.

About the role

You will be responsible for the monthly financial duties of a portfolio of clients, including bookkeeping, management accounts, reconciliations, and general financial administration. You will work closely with a team of accountants and have direct contact with clients across a range of industries.

We are looking for someone who:

• has previous experience working in an accounting or auditing firm
• can work independently and manage their own portfolio of clients
• stays calm and organised under pressure
• has strong attention to detail and good communication skills
